Dice Roller
Roll virtual dice with lively animations. Choose classical 6-sided dice or build a custom dice pool with any number of sides.
Configure your dice above, then hit Roll Dice to see the results here.
How to Use This Dice Roller
This dice roller lets you simulate rolling physical dice with entertaining animated effects. Whether you need a quick roll for a board game or a custom dice pool for a tabletop RPG, follow the steps below to get started.
1. Choose a Mode
- Classical — Every die has 6 sides. A shaking dice cup animation plays during the countdown, then the cup opens to reveal your results as traditional dot-pattern dice faces.
- Custom — Your dice pool can include different dice with 2 to 100 sides. A slot-machine animation spins number reels that stop one by one to reveal the outcome.
2. Set Up Your Dice
In Classical mode, use the input field to choose how many dice to roll (1–10).
In Custom mode, tap a preset or enter any number of sides from 2 to 100, then build a dice pool of up to 30 dice.
3. Adjust the Countdown
The countdown controls how long the animation plays before the results are shown. The default is 3 seconds, but you can set it anywhere from 1 to 10 seconds.
4. Roll the Dice
Press the Roll Dice button. The animation starts with a countdown timer displayed at the top. Once the countdown finishes the results appear instantly.
5. Read the Results
Each die shows its individual result, and the Sum of all dice is displayed below. In Classical mode you see familiar dot-pattern dice faces; in Custom mode the final numbers are shown in slot-machine reels.
6. Fullscreen Mode
A fullscreen button lets you expand the result area to fill your entire screen — great for showing rolls to a group. The Roll button remains available in fullscreen so you can keep rolling without exiting.
Tips
- Increase the countdown for a more dramatic reveal, or set it to 1 second for instant gratification.
- In Custom mode, set all dice to the same large number (e.g., 100) to use the roller as a random number generator.
- Use the Roll Again button to quickly repeat with the same configuration.
Easter Egg — Confetti Celebration 🎉
Land a lucky roll and the page erupts in confetti! The celebration fires automatically when your result hits one of these special conditions:
- All the same — every die shows the same number (e.g. four 6s).
- Sequential numbers — the dice form a consecutive run with 3 or more dice (e.g. 2, 3, 4, 5).
- All max — every die lands on its highest possible face.
- High sum — the total is 85% or more of the maximum possible sum.
Each condition has its own unique confetti style: a twin-cannon burst for all-same or all-max rolls, a rainbow cascade for a sequence, and a classic explosion for a high-sum result.
